Each area listed below is evaluated with a pelvic exam in our clinic.

Pelvic Exam:
An examination of a woman’s reproductive organs that include the vagina, vulva (outside of the vagina skin), cervix (opening of the womb), uterus, ovaries, rectum and pelvis.

Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
When there is an infection of the uterus, fallopian tubes, and nearby pelvic structures.

Perimenopause
The period of a woman’s life that proceeds menopause. This usually extends from age 45 years to 55 years.

Perineal Tear (the opening of the vagina area)
Typically, during childbirth, a tear of the skin or other soft tissues that separate the vagina from the anus.
Perineum
The surface area between the vagina (or scrotum) and the anus.

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
Infections from sexual contact. STI’s include gonorrhea, HPV, herpes, chlamydia, syphilis, and HIV. We also treat both male and female.
The above sexually transmitted infections are usually caused by have unprotected sex.
The above STI’s can cause an infection of the female and or male opening were the urine come from when in the act of having sex.
All of the above STI’s are treated in our clinic. 

Abnormal Uterine Bleeding
Bleeding that is different from a normal or regular menstrual cycle, and bleeding that occur frequently. And also, no menstrual cycle that has not occur other than a pregnancy.

Fibroids are known as myomas which may be a cause of abnormal vaginal bleeding. This condition can be treated with medications,  surgery and maybe treated without hysterectomy. 

​​Pregnancy Prevention Methods

Intrauterine device (IUD)
A device that is inserted to the uterus to prevent pregnancy.  This a simple procedure that take only a few minutes in our clinic. An infection in the vagina that is caused by the overgrowth of a number of organisms that are normally found in the vagina. This is an infection that can be very simply in our clinic.

Barrier Method
A type of contraception which prevent sperm from entering the female reproductive system. This method can be used to prevent pregnancy. This method be foam and condom, as well IUD’s, cervical cap, sponge diaphragm.

 Oral contraception: The Birth Control pill
The birth control pills release hormones that prevent the release of eggs from the ovary. It also helps with lighter periods, decrease menstrual cramps, decrease bone thinning, help to regulate periods, protection against ovarian cysts.

Methods to Rule Out Cervical Cancer

Pap Test
An examination of the cervix and vagina and cells are removed and look at under a microscope. The pap smear takes cells from the opening of the womb to be tested for cancer. This test is done in our clinic.

Menopausal Syndrome
Menopause
When a woman’s ovaries stop releasing eggs and stop producing estrogen and progesterone which results in their inability to become pregnant. The average age is fifty years of age. Painful intercourse occurs with menopause syndrome which is called dyspareunia. There some mediations that can treat this condition. Which can be treated in our clinic.

Osteoporosis:
When bones become so fragile that they break more easily in women who may be menopausal
